Since the beginning of is graduate studies, Fernan has worked intensively on outreach events and science engagement activities. His work has been exhibited on Palacio La Moneda Chile (2014) (solo exhibition of microscopy still images and laser projection of images on Palacio La Moneda), Victoria and Albert Hall Museum – London (2014), Centro Cultural Le Parc – Argentina (2015), Museo del Hongo – Casa del artista -Chile (2016), Cambridge University 800th anniversary laser-projected show “Transforming Tomorrow”  (www.800.cam.ac.uk/events/18/), Wellcome Trust gallery – London (2011, 2012, 2013, 2016), ArtCell exhibition gallery – Cambridge Research Institute, UK (2011), Science exhibition Royal Photography Society – UK (2013), Koch institute MIT – US (2012, 2013), Designers Open – Germany (2013) and British Science Museum – London (2016).
