OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

Dr. Larrondo has been involved in outreach activities such as the Live Canvas project, (https://vimeo.com/147287782) (password:lux), which seeks to bring together art and science. He has had a presence in the local media, by multiple letters to the newspaper advocating for increased funding in science, as well as commenting on scientific topics( http://www.larrondolab.com/letters.html).

FORMAL COLLABORATION NETWORKS

Among active collaborations, it is possible to mention Dr. Jay Dunlap (Geisel Dartmouth, USA) and Dr. Chris Hong (U. Cincinnati) on diverse aspects of clock mechanisms and mathematical modeling of oscillatory circuits. In addition, there are active collaborations with Dr. Louise Glass (UC-Berkeley), on gene expression networks in Neurospora, Dr. Alfredo Herrera-Estrella (CINVESTAV-Mexico) on Trichoderma photobiology, and Dr. Philipp Benz (Munich) on Neurospora biology. Other active collaborations include Drs. John O’neill

(MRC) and Gerben van Ooijen (U. Edinburgh) on circadian clocks and Dr. Diego Libkind and Drs. Lorena Franco (U. Comahue) on wild yeasts..
